Gingerbread Competition 2025
A Britton Family Christmas Tradition
It's time for our annual gingerbread house competition!
Each entry should be composed entirely of edible materials.
This year we went back to our roots, opting for no set theme,
but that didn't stop us from attempting some of our most ambitious undertakings to date.
We'd love for you to participate in our tradition!
First explore the gallery of houses below,
then vote for your favorite in the form at the end.
Merry Christmas!
The Book Place
Inspired by the whimsical architecture of Shiz University,
this library opens the doors to your every imagination.
Wander through its nooks and candies,
climb its ladders, and meet some familiar frosted faces!
This edible architecture comes to life with a 360° rotating shelf that will send you spinning.
This scene will certainly have you dancing through life!
AmuseMint Park
Come dashing through the snow to these thrilling and delicious rides!
Jingle all the way around the Sugar Plum Ferris Wheel.
Over the hills you'll go on the Polar Roller Coaster.
Laughing all the way on the Merry-Christmas-Go-Round Carousel.
Making spirits fright at the Chimney Drop Tower.
What fun it is to ride and sing on the Mistletoe Spinny Swing.
Old Kris Kringle Had a Farm
Old Kris Kringle had a farm, ho ho ho ho hooo!
All of Santa's animal pals love spending their Christmas at the big red barn —
There's plenty of cheer and tasty treats to go around!
As you walk through the ornamented evergreen trees and around the old well and feeding trough,
you may spot some of Saint Nick's bouncing bunnies, his old barn cat, a trusty livestock hound,
a camel from his worldwide travels, hee-hawing donkeys, peppermint piggies, dairy cows
(for all the cookies, of course), and some holiday horses!
Once the Christmas Chaos is over, Santa's reindeer will join all of their farm friends at the barn.
I hope you enjoy!
Buddy the Elf's Journey
Travel with Buddy the Elf on his great adventure to find his dad in New York City!
Imagine traveling with Buddy as he says goodbye to Mr. Narwhal,
passes through the seven levels of the Candy Cane Forest,
through the Sea of Swirly Twirly Gumdrops, and then through the Lincoln Tunnel to NYC.
The Sad Gingerbread Mill
A Short Tale of Waiting and Falling
Long, long ago, the gingerbread body of this little mill was built.
When the walls were finished, it stood still, looking up at the sky, dreaming of its wind vanes.
The Mill waited with bated breath for the Master to finish the work and grant it the wings it needed to become real!
Finally, the vanes were installed! Joy filled the gingerbread house, and the Mill felt like the happiest in the world!
Alas, the joy was fleeting. The vanes turned out to be too heavy and impossible to hold.
After just a minute, they tumbled down, collapsing under their own weight.
Without its wind vanes, a mill is just a house... It drooped and grew sad.
But do not be like this little gingerbread mill!
Even if something falls apart on the first try, don't give up and don't be sad. Keep trying!
Candy Cane Castle
Red and green and icing so bright,
Sweet swirly confections, a Christmas delight.
So sweet dreams to all and all a good night.
Come celebrate at Candy Cane Castle, a magical site!
Graham Lagoon Aquatic Center
Welcome to Graham Lagoon Aquatic Center — where the water is blue jelly,
the lifeguards are questionable, and the swimmers are gummy bears training like it's the Olympics.
(Non-edible materials: glass pan for jello and strings for lane lines)
